https://lnkd.in/e9fBJ6rM I tried 7 different ambient scribes as an ophthalmologist... and was surprised to find most of them are not optimized for our field. AI scribes tested: 1. Freed 2. Heidi 3. Nabla 4. Athelas 5. Chartnote 6. Abridge 7. Cosign AI I found many scribes unable to process visual acuities, often writing 20/200 as 2200 or even 20/100. Drug names were misspelled - Eylea spelled as ILEA and one time even as Lucentis (!!). Our exam in ophthalmology is very unique - and most products without custom templates could not format the notes into something usable. Shout out to Heidi Health with an amazing ICD-10 coding system - it was the only one that accurately separated the right and left eye diagnoses. Getting things wrong, even 1-2% of the time has consequences. A miswritten medication or visual acuity can drastically alter our medical decision making. At Cosign AI, we are building bespoke AI tools for outpatient clinics.
