AI scribes tested: 1. Freed 2. Heidi 3. Nabla 4. Athelas 5. Chartnote 6. Abridge 7. Cosign AI I found many scribes unable to process visual acuities, often writing 20/200 as 2200 or even 20/100. Drug names were misspelled - Eylea spelled as ILEA and one time even as Lucentis (!!). Our exam in ophthalmology is very unique - and most products without custom templates could not format the notes into something usable. Shout out to Heidi Health with an amazing ICD-10 coding system - it was the only one that accurately separated the right and left eye diagnoses. The theoretical basis of the Li maneuver is that the posterior semicircular canal is closer to the coronal than the sagittal plane. 🤔 What are some disadvantages to the Epley and Semont Maneuvers? 🚫 The Epley maneuver requires multiple position changes, potentially requiring a longer duration of treatment and increasing the likelihood of canal conversion. 🚫 The Semont Maneuver requires the head to be turned 45 degrees, which can be more difficult to maintain throughout the repositioning process. 🤔 What are the advantages of the Li Maneuver? ✅ It requires fewer position changes. ✅ The patient does not need to rotate the head during repositioning, thus making it more suitable for patients with cervical impairments including if immobilized in a cervical collar. How is the Li Maneuver performed? 1. The patient starts in a seated position. 2. The patient rapidly lies down on the affected side. 3. This position is held for 1 minute. 4. The patient rapidly rotates 180 degrees towards the unaffected side, using the hip as the pivot. 5. This position is held for 4 minutes. 6. The patient rapidly returns to the starting position. The clinician assists with the maneuver by standing in front of the patient and holding the patient's head. The patient can hold onto the clinician's arms for support.
