"𝗜 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀" A few years ago, I was invited to speak at an internal event where I shared insights with early-career professionals about the importance of building your internal and industry-wide network and brand. One moment that really stood out was a conversation around 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆. The room felt tense when discussing how what you do outside of work can affect your professional image. I saw their concern — 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗷𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝗱. When it was my turn to speak, I decided to break the ice with an honest confession… 𝗜 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀! Why? Because... ▪️ Being professional doesn’t mean you can’t have fun, whether you’re in the office or out with friends. ▪️ The teams I’ve enjoyed working with the most—where I felt the most open, honest, and productive—are the ones I had the most fun with. And many of those colleagues are still friends today. ▪️ 𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝘂𝗻 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘀. 🌟 Midis Annual Corporate Event - 2024 🌟 We are excited to share the highlights from our recent corporate event! This year, the Midis team ventured into the heart of Latgale for a day filled with adventure, camaraderie, and growth. 📍 Ludza: Our day began with thrilling orienteering activities, pushing us to navigate and collaborate effectively. It was a fantastic way to build our teamwork and problem-solving skills right from the start. 🎯 Cibla: The excitement continued with paintball and mini-golf. These activities not only brought out our competitive spirit but also reinforced the importance of strategic thinking and coordination. We then enjoyed a delicious lunch, giving us a chance to relax and recharge. 🔥 Latgolys šmakovka: Our adventure was not complete without a visit to the Latgolys šmakovka, where we learned about local traditions and enjoyed a unique cultural experience. ☕ Cafe Panna: We concluded the day at the charming Cafe Panna, where we reflected on the day's activities and enjoyed some much-needed relaxation. 💡 Our activities were carefully designed to achieve key objectives: 🤝 Fostering mutual understanding and trust: Engaging in interactive exercises helped us appreciate each other's unique skills and perspectives, strengthening our spirit of cooperation. 📚 Information transfer and sharing: Team-building activities facilitated seamless knowledge sharing among our talented IT professionals, promoting growth and development. 📝 Planning and role assignment: We honed our planning and organizational skills, demonstrating the power of teamwork by effectively assigning roles and strategizing for each task. 🎨 Developing initiative and creativity: The day's activities stimulated our creativity and unlocked our collective potential, inspiring us to think outside the box and innovate. #MidisEvents #TeamBuilding #LatgaleAdventures

Heading home from our third annual retreat with our amazing Ninety team! We are intentional with our culture, and as a remote company, this time to connect in person is invaluable. Sharing meals, learning, and time for general fun are key for our Retreats (my group took on some mountain biking in Park City for “fun”🚴♀️😅). Planning the event the last few months, and then hosting it, here are my top takeaways: 1️⃣ Flow like water: Things will change. It’s inevitable. Adapt. Offer resistance when it counts, but don’t get stuck on the unexpected. 2️⃣ Lean into the team: For our planning team, it wasn’t any of our full-time jobs, yet together we created something incredible. It’s a true reflection of why Team and Extra Mile are Core Values at Ninety. 3️⃣ Don’t miss the moment: Amid the questions and plans, it’s easy to forget to connect. Don’t stress, participate. Grateful for this experience and this incredible team! 🙌

We had a great time last week with the staff from Macdonald Portal Hotel Golf and Spa. Here they are working together in a Last Team Standing challenge. There is a specific hole at a specific golf course where I got the call that I landed my dream job in Tech. 3 years later on a company day off, I’d get news on that same exact hole that my role at another company was being eliminated. Highs and lows. I don’t think it was a coincidence, nor do I believe in coincidences at all. I do believe there is significance in physical locations where we experience life altering experiences. I also believe that we should continue to revisit and frequent those locations - there’s something there for us. Can I make sense of or explain why the 3rd Hole at Costa Mesa Country Club happens to be marked by these two meaningful events in my career? I cannot. But I can tell you that every time I round the corner and head to the tee box, my eyes and ears are surely perked. Lesson here: Don’t forget those places where life took a turn. Often what looks like a setback can be a setup for more than you could dream up on your own. PS - this is not a pic from Costa Mesa. This is a shot out of the lava in Hawaii.

February Wrap up at Les Amis 💪🏼 Last month we rolled out some cool updates and welcomed new members, making our community even stronger and more connected. 🌈 Team Expansion: We welcomed four new team members, including a Head of Marketing. 📲 App Update: We launched a new version of the Les Amis app, designed for a smoother and faster user experience. 🎉 Membership Growth: February set a new record for the number of members joining Les Amis. 💘 Galentines Activation: Our Galentines event this month in Barcelona was our largest yet, with over 300 attendees turning up, making it the largest yet event. The focus was on real-life connections and celebrating friendship, away from digital distractions. 🔑 New Hotel Partnerships: We established brand partnerships with five new hotels, expanding the experiences available to our members.
