Oral Rehydration Salts (ORS) has played a crucial role in our lives, providing a simple and effective solution for rehydration. In 1975, the UNICEF and the WHO joined forces to establish a single formula rehydration solution. This formula was designed to be suitable for patients of all ages regardless of the cause of diarrhea. As a result, UNICEF began procuring and distributing standard ORS packets. Since its introduction, ORS has made significant progress in saving lives, particularly among infants and children. Oral Rehydration Therapy (ORT) which consists of a mixture of salt, sugar, and water, has proven to be a magical formula, especially in low and middle-income countries where access to ORS packets may be limited.
