🌍 World Mental Health Day 2024 focuses on the theme “It is Time to Prioritise Mental Health in the Workplace.” 📊 Here are some key UK statistics: 💡 1 in 4 people experience a mental health issue each year, directly affecting their work performance and overall well-being. ⚠️ 85% of SME leaders have identified employee mental health as their top health and safety concern in 2023. 💷 Mental health issues cost the UK economy £117.9 billion annually, which includes costs from absenteeism, presenteeism, and staff turnover. 🤯 4 in 5 SME owners report experiencing mental health symptoms themselves, highlighting the widespread nature of these issues. 📉 30% of employees in SMEs have seen their mental health decline since the COVID-19 pandemic, amplifying the need for better workplace support. With mental health challenges becoming more prevalent, UK businesses, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), must step up to support their employees. Health 2 Employment has extensive expertise in delivering a wide range of mental health interventions, tailored to support employees' wellbeing and workplace resilience. 🎉 Our Team at the National Strategic Clinical Network Event! 🎉 Yesterday, we were in #Swansea for the Musculoskeletal (MSK) Network event, where we joined forces with experts to discuss reducing the impact of MSK conditions across Wales. Through our partnerships with RCS Wales and Case-UK, we’re proud to be established as a leading provider of musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Thanks to funding from the Welsh Government, we’re able to offer fully funded treatment that’s changing lives for the better. It was a great day for networking and exploring future opportunities. A special shoutout to our director Ian Benbow FIEP, who delivered a brilliant presentation, along with Diane Barrow (Assoc. CIPD), FIEP, senior physiotherapist Raj Kumar, and our colleagues from Case UK, Emma Hanford & Alun JONES. Exciting times ahead!

💬 What a powerful and insightful workshop led by our Senior Psychologist, Claire Mitchell-Lowe and delivered for The Recruitment Co. employees. We’re proud to help create spaces where people can openly share experiences, support one another, and foster personal and professional growth. Let’s keep pushing the conversation forward on the importance of mental health and wellbeing in the workplace! OH One - Occupational Health #Resilience #WellbeingAtWork
Last week, we hosted an impactful workshop on building resilience, led by our incredible partners at Able Futures and Health 2 Employment. 🧠🗣️ A massive thank you to the wonderful Claire Mitchell-Lowe, Senior Psychologist at Health 2 Employment, for guiding us through such a powerful session. We explored the importance of resilience, its various forms, and how it's tied to our core values. We also learned that resilience isn’t just an inherent trait - it’s a skill we can cultivate with the right mindset and practices. The session reminded us that tough times are part of the human experience, and resilience isn't about endurance or grit. It’s about recognising, acknowledging, and sharing the very real emotions we feel during these challenges. Healthy management of these emotions and self care is how we grow as people and help build resilience. It was a safe and open space where we shared experiences and deepened our understanding of ourselves and our colleagues. It was a true testament of just how connected we are as a team here at The Recruitment Co. #Resilience #MentalHealth #Wellbeing #WellbeingAtWork Jane
