Mental Health Awareness Month is here and we want everyone to know it's okay to ask for help! The stigma around mental health and treatment has long existed, even though this has started to change. Still, people hesitate to seek help or even talk about it with their loved ones for fear of being judged and facing unnecessary backlash. We seek treatment to get better if we are hurt physically...this mindset should be practiced around mental health as well! We want to remind you, that you are not alone. If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis help is available, 24 hours a day 7 days a week. If you or someone you know is needing assistance, please call the crisis hotline at 1-877-466-0660. We are here for you. #mentalhealthawarness

Did you know May is Mental Health Month? 🌱 At TSCG, we recognize the profound impact mental health has on individuals, families, and communities. If we can help one person this month by promoting understanding and offering support, it's a step in the right direction. Mental health challenges affect millions worldwide, yet stigma and misconceptions persist. It's time to change the narrative. We want to create a culture of empathy and support where everyone feels safe to seek help and share their experiences. Remember, there is strength in seeking help and pursuing mental wellness because we cannot pour from an empty cup. We encourage you to talk to someone you trust about your struggles so that you can begin to thrive, not just survive. 🍃 If you or someone you know is in crisis, you can contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255) or text "HELLO" to 741741. In the United States, you can also dial 988 to reach the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. Let's spread awareness and support each other this Mental Health Month! #tscg #mentalhealthmatters #breakthestigma #youarenotalone #talkaboutit #youmatter

Because mental health issues are often stigmatized, people are afraid to talk about what they’re experiencing. This not only prevents them from getting the help they so desperately need, but it can create isolation and delay treatment. That is why this month it’s so important for YOU to help break down the stigma. You can do this by sharing your mental health challenges, and letting others know they aren’t alone. When we support each other, we can change the narrative on mental health. Visit Fraser.org/donate to support mental health in your community and end the stigma. #FraserMHM

The #988 Lifeline launched two years ago – providing an accessible, easy to remember phone number for suicide prevention and mental health support. Yet many people still aren’t aware of this life-saving resource. #988lifeline #hotline #suicideprevention #mentalhealth #depression If you’re dealing with a mental health crisis, contemplating suicide, or need someone to talk to right away… dialing the 988 hotline may just save your life. The lifeline provides free 24/7 support for a range of mental health challenges (such as panic attacks, suicidal thoughts, depression, anxiety, addiction, and more). Yet even though many call this “the 911 for mental health”… this service is actually much more than that. So what is this hotline exactly? What happens when you call? When should you use it? How does it compare to 911? And what other alternatives are there? We've created a free, in-depth guide to answer these questions and more. Today is the #TimeToTalk day. It is run by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness. The day is about creating supporting communities by having conversations with family, friends or colleagues about Mental Health. We all have Mental Health and by talking about it we can support ourselves and others. 1 in 4 of us will experience a Mental Health problem in any given year. Sometimes it is easier to tell people we are fine, than it is to say how we feel. Talking about Mental Health reduces the stigma, helping to create supportive communities where we can talk openly about Mental Health and feel empowered to seek help, when we need it. #TimeToTalk is the perfect opportunity to start a conversation about Mental Health. ⚠️ TW: Mental Health Let's talk about a topic that isn't easy to discuss but deserves our attention. It's time to address the stigma surrounding suicidal thoughts and death by suicide. 🙏 First and foremost, it's crucial for us to understand that having suicidal thoughts or dying by suicide does not make someone weak. It takes strength to confront these deep emotions and challenges. We must support and empathize with those facing these unimaginable struggles. ❤️ No one should ever be shamed or judged for their experiences with suicidal thoughts or their decision to die by suicide. Mental health battles are complex, and it's crucial to approach them with compassion. Remember, it is not a reflection of a person's worth or character. Let this be a reminder to cultivate understanding and kindness towards one another. Be a listening ear and a source of encouragement. Reach out to your loved ones who may be struggling silently, as a simple act of genuine care could make all the difference. If you or someone you know is struggling with their mental health, reach out to a trusted professional or helpline. Together, we can break the chains of stigma, provide much-needed support, and create a world where mental health is prioritized and valued. 🌍💙 #SuicideAwareness #MentalHealthMatters #EndStigma #SupportEachOther #Compassion #YouAreNotAlone
