For World Down Syndrome Day 2024, we call for people around the world to End The Stereotypes. For people with Down Syndrome and intellectual disabilities, stereotypes can stop them from being treated like other people. They get treated like children, are underestimated and are excluded. Sometimes they are treated very badly or even abused. People are all different. Each person with #DownSyndrome is different. Each person with an intellectual disability is different. Together we can empower people around the world to advocate for full inclusion in society for people with Down Syndrome and for everyone with #Disabilities as having the right to be treated fairly and have the same opportunities as everyone else, working with others to improve their lives.
