You have to make sure you plan ahead of time and take the time to ensure the shots came out decent - which means even though the drone is on autopilot once a mission is planned, you have to pay attention. A number of things can cause things to go wrong such as wind, battery levels dropping, or bad GPS signal. There’s also some post-production tweaking that has to take place. The waypoints aren’t always 100% accurate with a DJI Mavic 3, so some small adjustments such as enlarging the video, cropping, or shifting are required. Wettemann Brothers Concrete for the win here! "Where's my coat"? Here's a drone inspection photo from an industrial roof survey last week. Our Surveyor client needed to produce a condition report for the roof. The sheet-end corrosion and loss of external coating are pretty obvious, with the glavanised layer now being exposed. Apart from the deterioration of the roof cladding, the loss of the external coating is contributing to maintenance issues, with the flakes of paint accumulating in the gutters and around the outlets.
