How to get Investors to deploy their capital? (its probably not what you might think)... How to get Investors to deploy capital? For any Investor it comes down to becoming comfortable, they achieve an emotional state of mind - do I like the project, based on do I like the people, the founder. Is what I'm hearing sensible, clear and genuine. They want to see energy and passion yes, but also authenticity, want to hear why? The journey to this point? And experience the proposition (product or service) to get a feel for fit, market opportunity and primarily what goes on inside theย #foundersย heads. More heart than data. Then comes the data confirmation - does the emotion match the details and the data. The problem, solution, numbers, sales pipeline, market fit, pricing strategy , gross margin etc... They're looking for inconsistencies, flaws, personality that confirms trust or erodes it. Much is subliminal, called it a 'gut feel' and experienced Investors do this first.
