We’ve reached the 3rd and final best practice for #MSLs looking to Close Care Gaps and Increase Scientific Share of Voice. As an #MSL or #MedicalAffairs team member, you can expect your company to put you on the spot to identify the right expert for an immediate or fast-approaching need, such as an upcoming conference. That’s why writing out a reference guide for what a #KOL is about and being able to clearly articulate that is so important. What kind of information should MSLs track about their experts to potentially include in their guide? We’ll share the ours tomorrow as a bonus (but you can sneak a peek here): https://hubs.la/Q02r1PNQ0

While I think we can all agree that academic publishing is, in essence, a somewhat broken system, it is the system we are stuck with (for now). And part of that system relies of peer-reviewers, who seek to ensure published work is valid, and of as higher quality as possible. As peer-reviewers we provide this service for free, with the understanding someone will do likewise for us. We also do it blinded (usually) to the authors, to allow our commentary to be independent from our perceptions of the authors - to avoid falling back to EBM - Eminence Based Medicine! The Journal of Paramedic Practice is currently seeking #paramedics and #AHPs with #prehospital experience or specialist knowledge to join its bank of peer-reviewers. Peer review helps other academics, but also helps you keep up-to-date with the latest research and developments in your profession. If you are interested in peer-reviewing for the JPP contact the editor: jpp {at] markallengroup [dot} com Journal of Paramedic Practice #EMS #PHEM #PeerReview
