It’s story time! 📖 Raise your hand 🙋🏻♀️ if you have you heard “That’s Not My Job” OR maybe you’ve even said it yourself? 🫣 These are powerful words for someone to say and I happen to think they come from a place of operating below the line. When someone chooses not to take personal #responsibility for how their actions and #behaviors impact the outcome, no matter what that might be, it’s likely because they are not experiencing a sense of #purpose or #connection. With organizational culture, everyone is responsible for their own experience. But it is essential for everyone to “buy in” to owning the results and knowing what a good job looks like- no matter what your title is. If the CEO doesn’t demonstrate the core values and behaviors of the company and own the results then why would you expect supervisors and employees to? When there is a mentality of “it’s not my job” in the workplace, it’s the client or customer that really gets the short end of the stick!
