One cute and easy Thanksgiving craft for children is making "Turkey Handprint Cards." Here's how to do it: **Materials:** - Construction paper in various colors (brown, red, orange, yellow, and any other desired colors) - Googly eyes - Glue - Scissors - Markers or crayons - Pencil **Instructions:** 1. **Fold the Paper:** Take a sheet of construction paper (any color for the card base) and fold it in half to create a card. 2. **Trace and Cut:** Have the child place their hand (palm down) on a piece of brown construction paper and trace around it. This will be the turkey's body. Cut out the handprint. 3. **Feathers:** Cut out feather shapes from the various colored construction paper. These can be simple teardrop shapes. 4. **Assemble the Turkey:** Glue the handprint (turkey's body) onto the front of the card. Attach the googly eyes to the thumb part of the handprint. Draw a beak and a wattle (the red fleshy part under the beak) on the thumb as well. 5. **Add Feathers:** Glue the feather shapes to the fingers of the handprint, creating the turkey's colorful tail feathers. 6. **Personalize:** Have the child write a Thanksgiving message inside the card.
