I grew up watching The Shopping Channel, and it was a series of full-day segments of ads. And I bet there were many like me back then. Longform infomercials were so captivating as content back in the day that it had its own broadcast TV channel. It's been two decades and I still remember Shamwow. I'm surprised that I can't think of a modern-day equivalent of TSC or QVC that lives purely on social because: 1. Social platform analytics are trackable. 2. Brands are able to directly sell to your audience with today's social platform-connected shopping features. 3. These content styles are proven viral banger formats. With the right affiliate deals, a content production team could easily create hit after hit to become the QVC of Instagram, TikTok, X, Linkedin, Pinterest, and more.
