For example, Amazon partnered with Grubhub to offer Prime members a free Grubhub+ membership, and Walmart is now collaborating with Burger King to give Walmart+ members 25% off online Burger King orders when linked to the Royal Perks program. These partnerships expand reach and appeal by offering mutual benefits 🤝between non-competing, complementary brands. I called up a restaurant to book a table for buffet dinner. Me: Hi, I need to book a table for three on Sunday. I will make payment through Swiggy Dineout. Him: Sorry sir, we are sold out for Sunday. Please let me know if Monday works for you. Me: No thanks. I then asked my daughter to call up from her number She: Hi, I need to book a table for three.. Sunday Dinner. Him: Sure mam.. May I have your name & contact number? Restaurants (especially the big brands) are clearly making sure that Dineouts / Nearbuy vouchers are accommodated as a last option. Then why do they enroll in the program? Only they can answer! Its like our Variable components in the CTC. You will see an amount of performance based pay but it will never come 100% as 1) Your performance will get you only 50% of that promised amount 2) Even if you perform to the maximum, company's overall performance will affect the remaining 50% 3) Even if 1 & 2 are good, the market condition will still impact you 😂 #swiggy #discounts #promise

My $30 DoorDash order comes with a customer experience that puts most other companies to shame. I snapped this screenshot today, and I can't help but be amazed at the world we live in. With just a few taps on my phone, I can satisfy my cravings and get updates on exactly where my food is. Think about it: feeling hungry? Order a meal and track its progress right to your doorstep. If you decide you want ice cream or another snack, you can have the driver make an extra stop. We're living in an age where anyone with a phone and a few dollars can experience concierge-level service. Imagine a family dinner where everyone at the table gets exactly what they want from their favorite restaurant. Steak from one place, salad from another – it's all possible now. Technology has made it so easy to enjoy life's little luxuries, and it's truly mind-blowing. If we're living in a time when people get this high level of service for something as simple as dinner, imagine how high their expectations are for the product or service you're offering at the price you're offering. Example of the “trade down / trade up” theory. During strained economic times you will see people across all classes trading down in their choices. Higher income trades down to casual dining. Lower income eat at home as Daniela Sirtori is accurately pointing out. Value offers are what brands will do to lure in the fewer consumers. FYI - the reverse is true in better economic times with trading up.
