🇪🇺 Updates on the EU Whistleblowing Directive as of July 2024 It's been over two years since all EU member states were expected to fully transpose the Directive 2019/1937. While every 27 state have adopted, no country is technically transposing it. The European Commission has even begun infringement proceedings against many states and referred cases to the European Court of Justice. 📌 Why it still matters: Non-compliance impacts your organisation's whistleblowing framework. Understanding these delays and changes is crucial to staying compliant. Here are some updates from the adoption of EU Whistleblowing Directive: 📣 Incomplete transposition: Despite adoption, no country has fully transposed the directive. 📣 Ongoing infringements: The EU Commission is actively pursuing infringement cases. 📣 New reports: Recent EU conformity checks highlight partial compliance in key nations like Poland and Germany.
