Our #SafeatHome research found that the majority of survivors left the shared home while their partners stayed there. Most survivors went to emergency shelters or stayed with family and friends. It’s time to shift our expectations about survivors leaving home to reach safety. Read our blog post to learn more about #SafeatHome and the right to housing. It is time to put survivors and their needs first. http://ow.ly/u3oS50HGwl1

Today is International Missing Children's Day. Millions of children go missing around the world each year, and this day serves as a critical reminder of child safety and the ongoing fight to bring missing children home. At All City Towing, we stand in solidarity with families of missing children. We urge everyone to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities. Here are some resources that can help: National Center for Missing and Exploited Children: [National Center for Missing and Exploited Children] National Runaway Safeline: 1-800-RUNAWAY (1-800-786-2929) #NeverForget #MissingChildrensDay #BringThemHome

Connecting with amazing people to change the world through business and purpose. | SEVENTEENx SPEAKER | FACILITATOR | MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT |
Is your organisation in a position to support preventing Domestic Violence with StandbyU Foundation ? As we come up to International Women’s Day, it’s a sobering statistic that 1 in 6 women experience DV in their lifetime, and the continued flow of news stories of Women being killed by someone known to them, is so far beyond alarming there pretty much isn’t a word for it. The StandbyU Shield is a PREVENTITIVE technology to interrupt situations before violence occurs; has the data to prove its success with over 2000 in familes around Australia. StandbyU is empowering organisations to both protect their people and impact their communities through their partnership models. Companies need to play their part to support this technology scale it’s impact to disrupt an ineffective national approach to DV. Those who experience abuse, violence, and isolation live under clouds like these every single day. Hoping the violent storm will pass or the damage won't be too bad this time. Deep down, they fear their children will be removed or even worse, they will be tomorrow's news headline and yet another statistic. This is a reality for many, knowing that system responses have narrow referral criteria for support, long waiting lists and they are only able to call 000 for help once danger arrives. This is unacceptable. At StandbyU Foundation, we create a system that provides support and resources to those who need it, when they need it, without judgment or delay. We provide families the solutions they need to safely interrupt issues before they become incidents. Our Connected Community Partners and our growing Family of Supporters work together to make sure that everyone has access to the help they need, before it's too late. Elder Abuse Awareness Emergencies like natural disasters, pandemics, and conflicts often hit older adults the hardest, amplifying their vulnerabilities. Challenges like mobility issues, chronic illnesses, or social isolation can make it difficult for them to access help or evacuate safely. This World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD), themed "Spotlight on Older Persons in Emergencies," reminds us of our collective responsibility to prioritize our elders in all emergency plans. It's not just about their safety but also about ensuring they feel supported and never overlooked. Let's stand together for our seniors. Abuse can be more complex than physical or psychological; it can also come from both intentional and unintentional neglect. WRFN encourages keeping this important scenario in conversations around seniors as a normalized feature of public and private life. #WEAAD2024 For more information, visit https://ow.ly/eH8Z50SfCTJ.
