Matt tells a story about productivity that whilst it involves technology, is actually about people. As he shares - too many frail people end up in hospital unnecessarily through falls, loneliness etc. But whilst virtual wards reduce pressure on the system, they don't prevent the elderly & frail from having a fall or getting unwell in first place. So we need to think about prevention, new relationships with social care & communities. There will never be enough nurses, doctors & social care workers, so we need to think about new roles, digital skills and embrace preventative technologies.
