Yesterday I took a day for myself and attended CHIEF X LA. It wasn’t easy. Super busy time for my team. But I needed the time to: think, listen, meet, share. And be present. Here are a few precious leadership nuggets coming out of the day worth sharing: ✅  *When you have that person that says they really believe in you, there is no limit of what you can do.* This was from Julie Smolyansky, public company CEO of Lifeway Foods (wow, she’s amazing) and it resonated as I think about my kids, myself and the people around me. This is one way you can really have an impact personally and professionally. ✅  *Let your destiny pull you back into the things you are passionate about.* OMG, 1000% Heard so many women in breakouts share stories about this. Here’s my message to you: the path may not always be obvious but set your intentions. The work I am doing today in sustainability I could not have called 5 years ago when I was leaving my role as head of marketing at Upskill. In both instances, the work is purpose-driven and markets emerging. ✅ *When you get the seat, take as much space as possible.* This, friends, is powerful. It came from Lindsay W. (Wagner), a woman of color and the most senior woman at United Talent Agency. The point: once Lindsay joined the C-suite, she had to really “own” her role not just for herself and to meet the demands of the company, but more importantly, for that next generation of leaders she is paving the way for. ✅ *Increase the opportunity for serendipity.* Make time to network, be curious and see how we are all connected. For when you do, magic happens for yourself and the people in your orbit. Realize this is something that comes naturally for me and so I make a point to try and show others how to do it in their own, authentic way. ✅ *Create a badass folder.* For Jaime Freedman, COO at RE–INC, it’s in her phone: a compilation of pictures and screenshots of emails, notes, photos and more from moments of success (small and big) that she can scroll to whenever she’s questioning herself in life or at work. Love that. Of course there were many more moments including hearing about the hard-earned wisdom from Alli Webb, co-founder of Drybar. Get her book "The Messy Truth!". In every project, there are fun meetings and tough ones, but they all need to be productive. Even the quick or funniest ones should result in something useful. This isn't just because we're all busy, unproductive meetings can kill motivation, squash creativity, and ruin collaboration. Getting a productive meeting isn't just a matter of luck; it needs preparation. And that preparation work isn't just the organizer's job, everyone has to pitch in. You need clear topics and set objectives so everyone knows what's up and what we're trying to achieve. When people are ready, meetings stay on track and actually get things done. But preparing for a meeting doesn't mean we can't be spontaneous. In fact, it's the opposite. Good preparation sets the stage for those spur-of-the-moment ideas and creative bursts. When everyone knows the agenda and goals ahead of time, they can jump in with great contributions and seize those moments of inspiration. So, with the right mix of preparation and spontaneity, meetings can be both productive and lively.

💻🎬Digital moderation is not my favorite...😅 ...yet today's talk became truly inspirational and even emotional when Sandra Richter and Keith Allman shared their personal motivation to push Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Masco Corporation and Hansgrohe Group to create a culture of belonging. And just like that... My first half a year at Bluecrux flew by! As I channel my inner Carrie Bradshaw, I can't help but wonder: what have I learned from this amazing journey? Here are my three key takeaways: 1) Trust and Utilize Your Team "You are in this team for a reason." In moments of uncertainty, I leaned on the wisdom of more experienced colleagues. Trusting their judgment not only tackled the problem at hand but also taught me their thought processes and decision-making skills, sometimes even turning an issue into an opportunity! This collective intelligence is our true strength. 2) Respect Breeds Growth "If you feel respected and valued, you’ll bloom." Bluecrux fosters an environment where every question is welcomed, no matter how 'silly' it may seem. This respect and openness encouraged me to seek new angles and, at the very least, acquire new knowledge. 3) Walk a Mile in Someone Else's Shoes Helping out in a completely different role showed me firsthand the challenges my colleagues face.
