In the close-knit world of craft beverages, building strong networks and partnerships is crucial for success. The craft brewing community thrives on collaboration, innovation, and mutual support. Here’s why fostering these connections is so beneficial: 1. Collaborations: Partnering with other breweries blends unique strengths and styles, attracting broader audiences and generating buzz with collaboration brews. 2. Local Business Alliances: Forming partnerships with local restaurants and food trucks enhances the customer experience with unique beer-and-food pairings. Co-hosting events or offering exclusive pairings draws in new customers and builds loyalty. 3. Community Events: Participating in community events like festivals, tastings, and fundraisers fosters brand loyalty and recognition, creating engaging environments to connect with customers. 4. Shared Knowledge: Networking within the industry allows for the exchange of valuable insights and best practices, helping to navigate challenges and drive growth. In an industry as dynamic and collaborative as craft beverages, strong networks and partnerships are essential. Embrace the spirit of community and collaboration to brew up even greater success. Parades & frestvals promote community spirt & boost restaurants sales. Unfortunately there is no evidence they stimulate store sales, the event day will curb their business, frequently becoming their slowest day of the year. Looking for case studies of postive retail sales during festivals. Harbor Springs, Mich. July 4th celebration, my favorite. My book explores this misunstood trend.

New Brew Networking - who's in? Ok - this is an idea I've been brewing (see what I did there) for a while. I haven't completely nailed down the details but it looks something like this... An online networking event where everyone attending brings along a beer they have never tried before (preferably from an independent brewery). You introduce yourself and your beer and then we all talk business while drinking our new brews. Will probably be late afternoon/early evening so people can enjoy their beer (or multiple beers). Will probably be very informal and relaxed (no sales pitches). Will hopefully be fun (because who doesn't like fun). I have some other ideas for what it could look like, but I just want to find out if there is any interest. So if you are up for talking beer and business with me (and anyone else who likes beer and business), comment "I'm interested" below or message me privately. If I get more than one person interested, I'll put something together. If I only get one person interested, I'll probably just invite them to go for a beer 😂 🍺 🍺 🍺

I have really enjoyed reading people’s 2023 wrap ups today, so here is 10 things to share for anyone who has been part of our journey and contributes to our brand either through a pint or with an open ear. (thank you so much). 1. UNPLANNED: we had undoubtedly the biggest learning with the opening and then (temporary) closing of our 2nd location. We are now mid-renovation and almost complete our brewery expansion in Kingston. The learning: we now know not to do half-measures and always fully commit to the plan. Trust your gut and that PDF you painstakingly crafted. All that thought was the result your best thinking. 2. PLANNED: we released over 30 new beers. This incubation of curious new beers is central to what makes us, us. It brings new customers and keeps our existing customers coming back. 3. PLANNED: next year will be our year of the hopped water. After multiple in-market trials throughout 2023 we have signed on with a national distributor to help shape a nascent category of non-alc beverages 4. UNPLANNED: we saw one of our new biz endeavours fizzle out on shelf. An award-winning liquid but the wrong price point and wrong positioning. Thankfully Something in the Water has Rick Tanton, who has developed an exciting new product portfolio which will be our big bet of 2024 5. PLANNED: our licensee business doubled this year. And while it shows most noticeably on our Income Statement, it’s presented itself most meaningfully in the form of DMs from my network where people have shared that they tried us for the first time, or supported us when they can’t make it down to Liberty Village. 6. UNPLANNED: despite continuous change and improvement, we have never hit our retail targets 7. PLANNED: we became a 7-figure business 8. UNPLANNED: we had the most incredible person walk through our door last week. This may be that moment for us. That will be next year’s story for sure if it works out. 9. PLANNED: we brought on the most impactful new member of our team in Dominik Ociesa who in 90 days has launched an entirely new food program and improved our taproom operations within his first week 10. UNPLANNED: private events became our unicorn of 2023. An off-the-cuff convo with a fellow hospitality owner led to all-new inbound interest and more booked events than I can count. Secured revenue may be the most comforting element of anyone in the bricks and mortar business 11. PLANNED: my mentorship group has provided me with the most valuable time spent this year and it is because of them I able to confidently steer the growing SITW ship That was 11 but couldn’t cut the last one :) Happy New Year to everyone, but especially my fellow entrepreneurs who carry the enormous and important weight of every sale, expense and employee on their shoulders. https://lnkd.in/gbeNVVKr

On Super Bowl Sunday this year, folks cheering on their favorite teams reached for a cold one, and guess who came out on top? Corona! That's right, it was the number one beer picked at bars and restaurants. This was a big jump from last year, and it looks like Bud Light, which was pretty popular before, didn't get as much love this time around. Turns out, people's tastes are changing, even when it comes to game day sips. Interesting, right? Keeping up with trends like these is part of what we do at Cudd Realty here in North Texas. Whether it's the latest in property investments or understanding the local market's needs, we've got an eye on what's happening. If you're a small business owner or just curious about how these trends can influence community growth and the real estate landscape, let's have a chat. You can call or text me, Michael Cudd, at 940-595-0138. Let's brainstorm how to make these insights work for you. And if you're curious to learn more about the beer trends, go ahead and read up on the article to get the full scoop.

While last year was unforgettable, 2024's Foodpreneurs Festival is going to blow 2023 away! And here’s why: 💰The sales opportunities are 64 times bigger! Last year Foodpreneurs had the opportunity to pitch their products to retail buyers representing 78 stockists. This year the buyers will represent 4000+ stockists – that’s A LOT of shelves to get your product on! 🍴 The Founder’s Luncheon is a brand-new event allowing Foodpreneurs to network with hard-to-reach founders and a select group of trailblazing packaged food and drink entrepreneurs who will be sharing their insider knowledge. 👀 This year we’ve got more spacious shelving to showcase your product to all Festival attendees (don't forget it's only 2 products per brand owner 😊) 🏨 An opulent new venue with more seating to listen to industry powerhouses share their insights and advice on what to do (and what not to do!) to be successful in the industry. BUT don’t worry, despite adding even more sales, networking and promotion opportunities this year, all your favourite activations from last year will still be there! *Applying to pitch to retailers will not guarantee you a pitching spot. 🔗 Link in comments for more information.
