Quick chat with... Cabin Attendant Mersiha! Q: What methods do you use to stay motivated and focused? A: The most important method to stay motivated and focused for me is when I have a specific goal to accomplish. Q: What's something that you've always wanted to try or learn? A: After the ocean liner experience I want to learn how to be a professional bartender and sommelier challenge. Q: When have you felt the proudest and why? A: I was most proud of myself in 2002 when I passed the state exam for police officer because I got the job I wanted on my 18 years and last year when I came to the company in GCCL and I spent three months at Harmony River as a housekeeper because it was a new riverside experience and a great challenge of mastering the speed and quality of work. Q: What is one thing you can't live without? A: My morning Turkish coffee (but on the ship my cappuccino). Q: Would you rather spend a night in the most luxurious hotel room that money can buy or a week at your favorite bed and breakfast? A: I would choose at favorite bed and breakfast because I would feel more relaxed and comfortable. #cruise #cruiselife #cruiseship #cruisejobs #hiring #crew #crewjob #GCCLcareers #CareersatGCCL #GrandCircle

🛫From the Skies to Personal Assistance🖥️ After 12 years as a VVIP flight attendant, I took a leap and transitioned into the role of a personal assistant for VIP clients. This journey has been a mix of challenges and amusing moments! Picture this: going from serving gourmet meals during turbulence to coordinating high-profile events with last-minute changes. The skills I developed in the air—discretion, professionalism, and multitasking—were invaluable. Yet, there were also funny moments, like the time I instinctively offered a client a hot towel during a meeting! Every day brings new adventures and learning experiences. The flexibility and attention to detail that served me well in the skies now help me navigate the complex demands of high-profile individuals on the ground. It’s been a rewarding transition, blending my passion for exceptional service with the unique challenges of personal assistance. Now, I want to hear from you! What was your previous job before becoming a personal assistant? What challenges did you face when transitioning to your new role, and How different were these roles? Share your experiences in the comments below! 👇 #CareerJourney #PersonalAssistant #ProfessionalGrowth #CustomerService #LinkedInCommunity

Did you know that the current global fleet distribution shows that only about 6.8% of the total fleet are yachts over 50m in size, representing a more exclusive, high-end segment of the yachting industry? Even though this segment is smaller in numbers, it’s important to keep in mind that larger yachts will need more crew and will have more comprehensive crew roles. In yachts over 50m in size is where roles such as Purser, Head of Housekeeping, Head of Service, multiple Chefs, Spa Therapists, etc. will appear. Crew for these yachts will therefore need to have a more specialised set of skills, as these vessels can offer more complex features and amenities than their smaller counterparts. It’s a good reminder, however, to keep realistic expectations when looking for work. Data was sourced from BOAT International Media #superyachtcrew #yachtcrew #superyachts #yachtingindustry

Flight attendant positions are attainable for the average daydreaming airline passenger. They don’t require an expensive specialized education. So, anyone with a few years of customer service experience — especially in the high-end hospitality industry — has a decent chance of landing a position with a commercial airline. But just how much do flight attendants make? Do their salaries increase significantly over time? What do their travel perks look like, and what other benefits do they receive? Here’s what you need to know about working as a flight attendant on a commercial airliner.

I enjoy leaving #reviews. I tend to notice the individuals who often go #unnoticed. I like to highlight the behind-the-scenes #staff who actually play a significant role in providing good service. This time, I shared my thoughts about the #Costa #cruise crew. We had an exceptional cabin steward. He was actually the one who gave us a #personalized #experience, and, most importantly, he preserved the holiday feeling even when we encountered issues with other cruise staff. We were lucky to have Chelfin who did way more than expected! However, Costa Crociere S.p.A. made it super complicated to write a review for a specific person. I was told I needed to write it on a paper with the Costa logo. Okay, that meant waiting 20 minutes in line to get the paper, then writing the review and waiting 20 minutes in line to give the review to the customer service desk. Well... The person at the desk was so busy, and there were so many people in line, so I had a feeling they might not register or do anything with this review letter. Therefore, I requested them to double-check if they put these letters in some system. Let's just say you have to be very motivated to write this kind of review for a specific person, and hopefully, they appreciate these behind-the-scenes heroes dearly. ❤️ PS - In a few months, you will find our experience story as a family traveling with small kids on a cruise ship published in Latvian media. #reviews #customerservice #servicedesign #greatemployees #behindthescenes #costacruise #cruise #familyholiday #cruising #servicedesign #humanexperience #appreciatepeoplearoundyou #lindawrites #theessenceofpeople #crewexperience #cruisecrew #media #magazine
