When big players and small businesses come together, magic happens.
I had the incredible opportunity to sit at a roundtable with leaders from both large organizations and small, minority-owned businesses.
It was more than just a discussion— it was about creating real, actionable pathways for small businesses to step into spaces historically dominated by bigger players.
As a consultant and representative of the public sector, I was there to figure out one thing: how can we make this collaboration happen?
How can we ensure that small businesses and ethnic minority businesses aren’t just given a seat at the table, but a real shot at winning contracts and growing their influence?
Seeing major organizations like Tishman Speyer push for supplier diversity reminded me why this work matters.
It’s about creating opportunities for everyone, fostering growth, and building a future that reflects the diversity in our communities.
This roundtable was just the start.
We have the responsibility to keep pushing—
—To make sure small businesses aren’t just part of the conversation, but leading it.
LET THAT MARINATE
PS: It was a wonderful experience interacting with all the participants there.
