Whether you’re a current business owner or a budding entrepreneur burning with the next great idea, one of the most important steps you can take on your road to success is creating a business plan. Why? A well-thought-out and well-written business plan captures your vision, illustrates it for others (including potential lenders and investors), and creates the roadmap you and your management team need to guide you through the growth of your business. #businessplan #cpas #cpa #entrepreneur #taxplanning

Why you need a business plan. We've all heard romantic notions about the swashbuckling entrepreneur acting only on guts and instinct, casting aside anything mundane or administrative. If we snap back to reality, we find that a business plan is essential: - It prevents cases of shiny-object syndrome. As you grow, new opportunities will present themselves. A plan will help you decide what you should investigate further, and what you should ignore. - The business planning process helps you clarify your own thoughts. How will you get clients? Should you pay for advertising? When should you hire someone, if at all? - Planning helps you test ideas further, test the market, and prove the business model has a chance to succeed before you potentially lose your life’s savings. When you start, you don't need a 50-page business plan, but a good business plan should cover key aspects of the business including: organization and management, market analysis, product/service, financials, and sales and marketing. I cover all these points in this article and I also answer the following questions: - Is the business plan a one-and-done - Should you write your business plan yourself or hire a professional - How to get started with the plan Check it out here: https://lnkd.in/emN4h6Kd #Entrepreneurship #BusinessPlan
