Meal planning isn’t sexy, fun, or glamorous. Here’s how I convince myself to get it done… 1. I grab a cup of coffee, because coffee makes everything better 2. I include my spouse. When I plan our weekly menu, I’m also planning our whole week - so I know when someone is working late, has sports practice, or if we’re all going to be out of the house in the evening. Meal planning is a form of communication for our family. 3. I have ONE source of inspiration for what we’re going to eat. I don’t have time to look through cookbooks or scroll Pinterest and I HATE that feeling of “uggh I have to figure this out again…” I use the weekly menu in the Peas and Hoppy Meal Guides app as inspiration, then I personalize it to meet our needs for the week. I usually substitute slow-cooker or 30-minute meals for busy days, and the app makes recipes easy to find because I can sort through the 800+ recipes using the features I’m looking for.
