Bookmogrify.com is live, and it's just the beginning.
Here's the deal: JavaScript can do almost anything to a webpage. Want to make a site more readable? Add text-to-speech to Claude? JavaScript's got your back.
But managing that JavaScript? That's where things get messy.
Console commands are great for one-offs, but they're a pain to reuse. And while bookmarklets are powerful, updating them is like trying to perform surgery with oven mitts on.
That's where Bookmogrify comes in. Right now, it's a humble home for bookmarklets. But the vision? It's bigger.
Imagine:
Writing your JavaScript in a proper editor
Hitting save
And boom, it's updated everywhere you use it
No more copy-pasting. No more minifying by hand. No more juggling multiple versions of a bookmarklet script.
We're not there yet, but that's the dream. A system that lets you focus on running cool scripts, not managing them.
It's the early days, and there's a lot to figure out. But if you're into bending the web to your will, come check it out.
