7 years ago today, I came to North Dakota for a new life. In the 7 years that have passed, I’ve made a few strides, some of which have been pretty major: -I became my own conservator in August 2022. -I have my own home now!!! It’ll be a year in August. -I have my permit and I’ve had a few behind the wheel lessons; I need someone who is willing to help me with the behind the wheel lessons so I can get my license and be more independent. -I’m working on getting a self-advocacy organization type business going so I can do the self-advocacy that I want to do and not having to be on a diamond encrusted radioactive laser induced chain at all times because of policies/attitudes/ideologies/hidden agendas. I have several goals that I want to achieve in the next few years and here is what I have on tap: -Get married and have children; this is my biggest goal overall. -Get my license so I can be more independent and do things on my schedule. -Get the self-advocacy organization type business going, have an office, and if possible, a few branch locations. -Get someone who will actually look into the congenital hip dysplasia issues that I keep having and come up with a solution so that I’m not always wondering what’s going to set it off and so I can be independent for as long as possible. -Figure out if I’m going to be in North Dakota or move elsewhere; if you want me to remain in North Dakota, start fighting for me! I will admit that heavy concessions will be required for me to remain in North Dakota(especially after the past couple of years). The other states I’m for sure willing to move to are Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming. If any of the above mentioned states are able to give me a really good opportunity for me to do self-advocacy in your perspective state and deliver on said promises, I’ll go there! I’m hoping that I can continue to be as independent as possible and that I can do self-advocacy again so that way I can help other people be independent and speak up for themselves as well.

In this week's edition of The Vibe, I dive deep into how well-intentioned regulations often chain human progress to the past. Through the lens of the Saint Joseph Abbey monks—who simply wanted to sell handcrafted caskets—I explore how innovation moves at the speed of thought but dies at the speed of bureaucracy. From Tesla's battle with dealership laws to food trucks needing to notify every restaurant before parking, we're seeing how regulations born of wisdom have hardened into armor protecting giants from tomorrow's ideas. But this isn't just about deregulation—it's about evolving our approach to protect public interests while nurturing innovation. The greatest danger isn't that we'll move too fast, but that we'll stand still in a world that doesn't. Plus: My takes on Zillow's recent leadership changes, the Fed's reality check on housing, and why election cycles create unique opportunities for savvy operators. https://lnkd.in/eqgvYXb4

How to Stop Being a HENRY & Take Control of Your Finances 🙌 Key Takeaways: - Many new-to-practice physicians are HENRY’s, meaning they make a lot of money, but they don’t have a significant net worth because they are buried in student debt and don’t have a lot of other savings or investments. - New physicians can start to build their net worth by understanding their debts, taking stock of their assets, and intentionally aligning their money with their goals. - Paying off debt, reducing expenses, increasing investments, setting clear goals, and creating a solid plan are all excellent ways to leave the HENRY lifestyle behind.
