I provide financial stewardship primarily to a select group of owners of privately held businesses & successful professionals.
While the national numbers provide valuable insights, many of us are equally, if not more, interested in how our own states are faring. Understanding local economic conditions is crucial, especially for business owners, professionals, and executives who need to make informed decisions based on regional data. To that end, here's a detailed chart from the Bureau of Labor Statistics breaking down employment trends by state: https://lnkd.in/g_h5TDdc #EconomicData #LocalEconomy #BusinessStrategy #JobMarket #ProfessionalGrowth

Very well-written article on the importance and limitations of data by one of our best and brightest economists. "The integrity of the BLS is crucial not just to ensure public trust in its data, but in shaping people’s willingness to participate in surveys (which in turn helps improve the quality of its data). At the same time, it’s entirely appropriate, even necessary, to be aware of the limitations of government data. Official statistics are not the truth, but rather our best estimates of the truth — and we should always be working to improve not only how we collect and disseminate them, but also how we use them."

💎💎Let’s Break the Gridlock!!! UNDP’s new Human Development Report is out. It assesses the #dangerousgridlock resulting from uneven development progress, intensifying inequality, and escalating political polarization in the world. Three key insights from the report: 💡Growing Human Development Index (HDI) inequalities between countries at the top and those at the bottom of the pyramid. 💡Increasing human deaths in battles and displacements related to conflicts reaching the highest level since World War II. 💡Rising temperatures within the hottest decade on meteorological record with 2023 topping as the warmest year ever. For progress on the SDG’s and the Paris Agreement, the report recommends some measures to break the dynamically evolving barriers to international cooperation. It recommends a re-jig of current financial mechanisms, unleashing the emerging extraordinary technologies (including AI), and deployment of our human ingenuity for cooperation towards a better world. 🌍 ☘️🦏⚡️💦🦆👇🏿

Check out this groundbreaking blog post that the government is using to justify its claim that the economic collapse has hit rock bottom. Apparently, there are four data points that they are clinging to for hope, while conveniently ignoring the plummeting industry and employment rates. Go ahead and give it a read, if you're interested in cherry-picked statistics and creative data interpretation. Link: https://ift.tt/VNjqSYZ
