Setpoint secures a $31 million series B round to boost its credit management solution #Setpoint, a #fintech company revolutionizing the credit management landscape, has just secured $31 million in a Series B funding round. The round was led by 645 Ventures, with significant participation from industry giants like Citi and Wells Fargo, alongside investors such as Andreessen Horowitz, NextView Ventures, and the Zillow founder’s 75 & Sunny. This latest funding boost brings Setpoint’s total capital raised to $76 million, reinforcing its position as a key technology partner for global financial institutions. Founded by Stuart Wall, Setpoint is making waves with its innovative approach to automating debt facility management, addressing the inefficiencies that have long plagued traditional credit systems. The company’s software solutions, particularly the Asset OS and Capital OS platforms, are setting new industry standards by digitizing and streamlining credit transactions, reducing errors, and increasing operational efficiency. With this fresh capital, Setpoint is poised to advance its research and development efforts, focusing on expanding its engineering and data science teams. Users on the platform spend a lot of time in evaluating a deal. They take time to build conviction and when they are ready to commit, they invest. In the existing format of invoice discounting, we had users invest in a deal only to see it till maturity and then again make an investment a couple of months later. When our investors needs to redo the effort of evaluating and committing, there is a decision making load we saw turning into fatigue. Especially when some of our top investors have more than 100+ active investments rotating almost every day. We asked them what they needed. The solve was simple - they just wanted to remain invested for a slightly longer period of time. This has taken the shape of a new feature called Re-Invest. In certain deals, where we have clarity on the future deals coming in we have introduced an option to remain invested via the Re-Invest feature. Just toggle it on in case you are wanting to reduce the cognitive load of choosing to invest or not. It took us some time to figure out the legalities of it and to make it airtight. As I work through the to do list from last week, I thought I would add a few thoughts on what I picked up at Money20/20 this year. These are just my own musings. I don't claim that they're definitive or even the official stance of Dialect Communications or our CEO Neil Wake, just food for thought from me; Partnerships - Partnerships are as important as ever, but I mean real partnerships. I mean ones that offer true support and value. Not just a supplier saying they're your partner and invoicing you every month but, one that delivers day on day, week on week, adds to and grows the relationship, brings expertise and further experience and opportunity to you and your business.  Partnerships are no longer and can no longer be transactional.    End to End solutions - Call them what you will, embedded finance, white-labeled services or any "AAS" you can imagine: after a few bumps in the road, they are constantly refining and in big demand. The appetite for them means the key is how they are mapped out; they must be solution-centric, scalable and durable and that goes back to partnerships. All is good when things are going well but, if there is a bump in the road have you chosen the right partner who can and, is in fact willing to help you tackle a challenge?   Artificial Intelligence - Let's be honest, it's been around for years and is here to stay. There is still some uncertainty as to how it will be adapted and adopted but once the revenue orientated use cases start to build, we will see it more functionally active. Just remember, people do business with people not Bots.
