🌟 Exciting Announcement! 🌟 I’m thrilled to share that Wells Fargo has made a $250,000 philanthropic investment in the Goalsetter Foundation to pilot in-classroom financial literacy education for over 500 middle school students at 7 public schools in partnership with NYC Department of Education Public Schools District 18 in East Flatbush and Canarsie in Brooklyn! The announcement was made on Tuesday, June 4th, during a vibrant Family Financial Empowerment Fair attended by ~100 community members. This initiative is an important step in advancing equitable economic mobility that brings financial literacy education and skills directly to classrooms in the communities we invest in. The enthusiastic engagement we experienced during the evening’s celebration was truly inspiring! It is not every day that you see the impact of your organization up close and personal, and it was so gratifying to see both Team Goalsetter and Team Wells Fargo make an extraordinary partnership come to life. It was beyond touching to see both the young people and the families whose lives we are touching with our work, and I am grateful to Darnell Head, Sophia (Loferski) Baskin, Shayna McLendon, ED.S , Danna Del Rosario and Sonia V.
