After this Indian Premier League season, the bowlers might want to consider teaming up with the Human Rights Association. There seems to be a choice between acknowledging a complete disarray in bowling tactics or recommending that pitch curators be given contracts to build roads, given how flat the pitches have been. What used to be a daunting score of 230+, a surefire way to boost the Net Run Rate, now seems to be just another day at the office with teams chasing it down routinely. At this pace, it’s plausible that future generations might forego bowling altogether in favor of batting. Here's a cheeky suggestion for the BCCI: if we're set on making cricket solely a batter's game, perhaps it's time to consider fielding a bowling machine and 11 batters. It is probably the most impressive ratio (0.38) we've seen this season. Why should i watch cricket?
