Excited to announce that I am officially hosting a podcast.
WAIT. HOLD UP... WHAT? A podcast from the women at Eliminate Girl Hate, is about those moments we all face that make us say just that...you know the ones:
You are at school, work, out with friends, family, colleagues; when someone says or does something that makes you stop in your tracks, tilt your head and say...
“WAIT. HOLD UP... WHAT?”
They’re the moments that make us question our choices. We wonder if we are in the wrong job, chose the right direction, knew our friends the way we thought we did, or even what happened to our family members to make them think saying/doing something like that is ok.
They’re the moments that send us in to the arms of our closest ally to commiserate over what we should do, how we should have responded or even to just mourn the loss of something/one we thought we had/knew. Sometimes they are even the moments that make us question if we are wrong or they are.
WAIT. HOLD UP... WHAT? Is a new podcast about taking a beat to share our experiences, tell our stories, and help forge a new path for all who identify as female.
Check it out on Apple Podcasts & Spotify Music - We launch May 1st but since we are friends...you can get an early listen of our first 3 episodes.
Our new podcast officially launches tomorrow, but since we are friends, you can get early access to our first three episodes by checking us out on Apple Podcasts and Spotify Music.
Our first guest is...
A 20-year veteran of Oakley, Rebecca Wilkinson established the company’s prescription eyewear business. The lens technology she pioneered made possible the world’s first wrapped lens prescription eyewear, which led to a 100-million-dollar-a-year worldwide revenue opportunity for the company. Becky is the team member C-Suite taps in for support. She is committed to championing the cause of woman in the workplace, as equal partners. Throughout her journey in male-dominated environments, she faced and successfully navigated through untold challenges. Her experience fueled her determination to be an advocate for woman’s empowerment, diversity, and inclusion.
Becky joins our host, Dawne Hanks as they discuss the moment that led to the start of Eliminate Girl Hate when an executive said “why do we hire women, when this is a men’s brand?”. Throughout the conversation they talk about their time together at Oakley and the highs and lows of working in an all female team, the moments that remind us of our power, and the fuel for doing your best work.

1moEsther is truly talented and it has been a joy to watch her brand evolve! Her engagement on social media, and with The W itself, shows how hard she is always working to give the public the best. I personally have purchase a couple of super comfortable hoodies and wear them all the time (mostly the “If your just now tuning in…” design). I always get stopped by people asking to read the words on the back of my hoodie - which in turn usually results in a high five in agreement with the message. Keep up the good work Esther! We see you!
