The Oval Partnership are once again taking part in the Samworth Charity Challenge on 18th May 2024 to raise funds for Bluebell Wood Childrens Hospice. It's an exhilarating & gruelling adventure race for teams of four, where you are required to plan and navigate your way around the course in order to collect points. The event is held every 2 years and will see our team pushed to the limits on a triathalon course which includes Mountain, Canoe & Cycle stages with all being approximately 3 hours duration and will be held near Ambleside in the Lake District. That sounds easy right? Wrong! this isn't a walk in the park. There are 2 difficulties to choose from, Tough and Elite and we know from past experience they are not for the faint hearted. But the charity that we support makes this challenge worthwhile. Bluebell Wood Childrens Hospice help children with end of life care and provide bereavement support to their families through what is such a challenging period to make what time they have left special. We can all help other people. "When you feel like you've got nothing... And if I am honest, we didn't think we needed support, probably my stubbornness, but we all need support in those difficult times. We can all help other people." Transitions can made or break us. While a change is an external event or situation, a transition is the internal psychological process that we are going through as we are navigating through this change. You might think "I've got this!" yet remember you don't have to "do it all" alone. Asking and accepting support is part of you ensuring you will make it through. And, most of the time, it's not just you who is affected by the change. There's your family, spouse, kids, parents, siblings, your friends, your community members. We can all help other people. This incredible event brings together thousands of people to raise funds for the Charles-Bruneau Foundation, the CHEO Foundation, the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation, The Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation, and the Tremblant Foundation, and your support can make a significant difference.
