Our community has seen immense wins in the past 55 years since Stonewall. Increased acceptance — a 91% supermajority of non-LGBTQ Americans agree that LGBTQ people should have the freedom to live our lives and not be discriminated against. 3moWill there be more LGBTQ elected officials this year? I was kind of upset with what’s happening at D.C. and didn’t know what to make of it. I definitely want equal rights but I also want somebody to make the leadership do the right thing, specifically those with experience in those kinds of issues, if that makes any sense.
