No one is too busy to make a difference in the world… Believe it or not, even amidst our busy lives, we hold the power to ignite change in our own little corner. Let’s uncover 3 practical ways to do just that: 1. Volunteer Your Time. Volunteering is a powerful way to create a ripple effect of kindness. Whether you choose to help at a local shelter, tend to a community garden, or participate in an educational program, your time matters. -->>These small acts of kindness, can actually lead to significant transformations. 2. Advocate for Change. Your voice matters. Use it to raise awareness about important issues. Attend rallies, write op-eds, or engage in meaningful conversations with others. -->> Advocacy has the potential to drive policy changes and create a better world for everyone. 3. Support Sustainable Practices. Make conscious choices in your daily life. Embrace eco-friendly practices: ->Reduce: Minimize waste and consumption. ->Reuse: Extend the life of items whenever possible. ->Recycle: Properly dispose of materials to reduce environmental impact. -->> By supporting businesses that prioritize sustainability, you contribute to a healthier planet. Remember, every step counts! Whether it’s volunteering, advocating, or making sustainable choices, you have the power to make a difference in the world👌. I've spent my 20-plus-year career building programs in the social impact space -- first in the nonprofit sector, then leading a corporate foundation, and now running my own consultancy. At PIMCO -- the corporate foundation -- I had the opportunity to develop the firm’s philanthropic partnerships and design programming (ranging from hands-on volunteer events to three-month immersive pro bono efforts to firm-wide global campaigns.) Each step of the way, I wondered, “Will employees participate? Or will they see this as 'fluff?'" Turns out -- 99.99999% of employees LOVED participating. As we creatively grew the program into the global giving powerhouse it became, not only did so many communities benefit from our contributions...but our employees benefitted, too. Employees work long hours tied to their desks -- they CRAVE outlets to give back and connect with their deeper purpose. My team and I gave that to them through authentic philanthropic experiences. Is your younger workforce telling you, “We want to work for a company that’s philanthropic in nature.” If not, they’re likely thinking it. ;) Nowadays, it’s not just about finding a job -- it’s about finding a place where you can connect with your deeper purpose. Could your corporate culture, teams, and offices benefit from deeper connection? No matter how you slice it, CSR brings people together for good. Putting your values into action isn’t an overnight thing -- but has huge benefits over time. So, what do you think? Is it your time to start or bolster your CSR efforts in 2024? #CSR #corporategiving #corporatecitizen #connection #belonging #corporateculture

Struggling to achieve high participation goals and create real, long-lasting impact in your employee volunteer programs? Wondering if kit-building is enough to create societal impact? Trying to figure out if volunteering really is a mechanism for change or just a mechanism for numbers? 😪 We’ve all been there. In post-COVID workplaces where engagement and connection are uniquely complex, we are at risk of backsliding into a type of volunteering that not only lacks value, but that affronts the very definition of impact. 🙅 Join this RealTalk conversation to learn how you can extend the impact of volunteering beyond the timeframe of any experience – even when you're kit-building. 🌟 REGISTER HERE: https://bit.ly/42lCJ0p #csr #socialimpact #esg
