Effective greeters can create a congregational culture of inclusivity and belonging for Jews from all backgrounds who enter our doors, whether they’re members, prospective members, or visitors. Conversely, lack of a greeting, or the wrong kind of greeting, can unintentionally marginalize individuals and families and signal the exact opposite of what we are aiming to communicate. Come join us for this workshop, where we will engage in some simple education around creating an inclusive community from the very beginning.

Dear white allies Fascist race riots are spreading across the UK with over 100 planned over the next few days. This is domestic terrorism, it’s islamophobic, racist, and anti-immigrant, and it is appalling. Here are 5 of the actions I’m taking to support people of colour in my life: 1. Reaching out to offer personal support 2. Offering myself as an escort to assist people through targeted areas near me 3. Paying for Ubers to get people through targeted locations safely 4. Researching rallies and protests in my area (and whether they’re accessible), and emailing my MP 5. Signing myself and my home up as a refuge point for LGBTQ+ asylum seekers whose accommodation is being targeted As a white person, even one who is trans and disabled, the fear and disgust I’m feeling is nothing compared to the experiences of racially marginalised people in the UK this week. We have to recognise what many already know: our country, and the societies and institutions within it, are deeply, insidiously racist - it has been proven over and over again. Yes, it’s a minority who are engaging in action which meets every element of the definition of domestic terrorism, sure. But how many more people are quietly thinking “good for them”? How many more people take no action at all when witnessing this around them, making them part of the problem? And, further, how on earth do the people of colour in our lives know which white person falls into each category? I’m refusing to be part of this problem, and I hope you do the same. I encourage you to think about what would be most helpful at this time, and do it.

Commemorative Flag Application Progress Pride Flag for 2024 came before the Gilroy City Council last night and I'm thankful for the supportive majority who approved it. In 2021 we made city history by being the first Gilroy City Council to recognize June as LGBTQ+ Pride Month and the raising of the Pride Flag at Gilroy City Hall which showed the region and world that with one more small step, Gilroy is moving forward. One of the purposes behind raising the flag is to heighten awareness of LGBTQ+ Pride Month, as well as celebrate diversity, equity, social justice and inclusion. #HiltonForCouncil #HiltonForGilroy #Gilroy #GilroyBPAC #GilMtg Many community members came to recognize this historic occasion and we were joined by our Local, State and Congressional electeds, who the previous week presented a joint resolution into the Congressional Record. Today you can find year round support and Pride for the LGBTQ+ members of our community from our local Public Library, Non-Profits, County, and County Office of Education. My call to action is to the Gilroy Unified School District, who have never raised the Pride Flag in June at the District Offices or any school site. All children should be able to attend school in a safe and inclusive environment free from discrimination. Civil rights laws and the California Education Code sections 200-220 contribute to such environments. The lack of awareness and understanding of issues facing LGBTQ+ children and youth have contributed to higher rates of school dropout, academic failure, suicide and school disengagement. Whatever America Hope's to bring to pass in the world must first come to pass in the Heart of America.Pay attention to the universe, it's so translusive.At a time when national power is held by the wealthy, there is a urgent need -if democracy is to serve for people to organize in own communities. The wisdom of nations lies in their proverbs, which are brief and pity.When god wants to give a message, he makes sure it gets delivered. God gives his hardest battles to his strongest soldiers. You always pass failure on way to success. happens for a reason. Is it more than coincidence- Devine nature of light. Is god visible-his humorous ways.A core value that drives is passion for justice- political spectrum emphasis  is on harnessing  these techniques and strategies to increase equal opportunities and Justice in our society -caring for each other and making society more equitable. Truth often suffers more by the heat of its definiatives than from the arguments of its opposers. Has been known to be said, "no way of judging of the future, but by the past." That concerns me, for my children, our children- America in general. I'm determined to not let the root of all evil overrule In God We Trust, especially in family courts. In spite of what's been recently demonstrated, as well as defining and exercising the concepts that differs: helping, protecting, and enabling; right and wrong- for what reasons and for whom. There has been a variety of incidences leading/ leaving me with redirecting concerns. If I was to write out (rewrite at least the incidents up -it would be a novel; can only speak the truth.Better execution of our innovation. Initiative is our challenge. We live in a age when change is acceleration. Breaking the system takes care. Has always been a pioneer in providing innovative business ideas, and community involvement. Currently building a foundation for long term goal of non profit corporation providing a variety for general Contracting services and development services.

Victoria’s cities, suburbs, and regions are growing, and the Victorian Government needs your help to name the new streets, parks, and community spaces that will emerge. Over the next 3 years, more than 6,000 places will need names, and we want those names to honour the people who’ve made our communities thrive. Many people want to shun or oppose diversity and inclusion because they perceive it is a mechanism for giving the less qualified a pass. Here is an article that talks about how diversity and inclusion can move beyond simply counting how many of this or that sort of person we have in an organization. I think examples like the ones illuminated in the article show that diversity and inclusion with an emphasis on excellence and high competence are possible.

🇬🇧 The term ‘culture wars’, coined by Sociologist James Davison Hunter in the 1990s, has entered common parlance recently. Hunter uses it to describe a dramatic realignment and polarisation of American politics and culture. ‘Culture wars’ has entered political rhetoric worldwide, frequently finding its way into British politics. In this article, Adam McCartan voices concerns about the erosion of British democracy and tolerance in the name of ‘culture wars’. McCartan cites government figures using intentionally polarising rhetoric, setbacks in LGBTQ rights, the right to strike and restrictions on protest.
