Washington, D.C. partner Ryan Stewart discusses some of his most challenging cases in an interview with Law360. With few rulings favoring employers in cases invoking violations of the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act, he recently convinced nine plaintiffs to drop their $160 million in claims against car rental company Enterprise. “I try to focus on … being very proactive and going out and trying to move things forward and vigorously representing our clients.” Ryan also talks about Gibson Dunn’s free market system and how it allowed him, as a young lawyer, to find work that spoke to him. “I'm motivated to tell a compelling story. I love the facts. That's why I'm an employment attorney.” Ryan was recently recognized by Law360 as a 2024 Employment Rising Star. #Employment
