Tammy Pearson, director of operations at our corrugated sheets plant in Denton, Texas, has been with Georgia-Pacific for more than two decades. We are proud to announce that our corrugated facility in Augusta, Georgia, has been honored with the 'Innovation in Safety' Achievement Award from the Fibre Box Association for their collaborative efforts that led to a safer workplace. Teams at the site developed a new tool called the gap check stand which is designed to address significant risks employees faced when checking the gap between the glue roll and the corrugated roll on the single facer machine. Following Hurricane Beryl, Convoy of Hope swiftly provided essential supplies to the affected employees and residents of Corrigan and Camden, Texas.
