After a long weekend unwinding in #Dublin, taking in some of the culture, enjoying some sun ☀ and obviously having a few pints of Guinness. I had the pleasure of being introduced to a new client by an #accountant I have a long standing relationship with. The introduction was made as the client in question was due to receive an inheritance from a relative with overseas assets. The funds were ready to be sent to the clients bank account so time was of the essence. Especially, as it turns out, the bank in question (one of the majors) was going to charge the client over 4% to receive the funds! 4%!! 😡 🤬 We had a conversation, I explained the benefits of having a broker on side who was not only going to beat the banks exchange rate but also happy to use my 10 years of experience in the FX industry to make this as smooth as possible for the client. Obviously, the result of this was a resounding success! 😀 ▪ The client saved A LOT of money and time by using an expert like Optimal Currency. ✔ ▪ The accountant who referred the client to me can sleep easy knowing their client will be looked after from start to finish. ✔ ▪ The High Street bank lost another client to a company with clients interest at heart! ✔ #betterexchangerates #longtermpartners #clientservice

Qatar National Bank (QNB Group), the biggest GCC lender by assets, said on Thursday that a new $796.7m (QAR2.9bn) stock repurchase authorisation has been approved by its board of directors. The Qatari lender said the rationale behind the buyback is driven by its robust financial standing, characterised by significant cash flow and a strong balance sheet, and its growth ambitions. “QNB’s share buyback is a confidence-building measure that is expected to raise investors’ trust in its robust capital allocation process, improve market liquidity, and enhance returns,” the banking group said in a bourse filing. The share buyback will be conducted using the open-market repurchase mechanism and will financed by the lender’s retained earnings and excess cash reserves. 🇬🇭 Treasury Bill Results GHS 6.97bn was issued to refinance GHS 5.86bn maturities. GHS 6.97bn bids were tendered against an initial target of GHS 6.27bn. This issuance came at a w/w reduced yield of about 60bps. This issuance is the highest in recent times after the 12Feb2024 issuance (GHS 6.85bn) The tremendous feet was achieved as investors sought to reinvest cash coupons received on 20Feb2024
