Nurses like this are all around us and I'm grateful to be among such an honored profession. I love being a nurse. However, a common drawback of choosing this career is giving our all to others and leaving little for ourselves. This is where my passion for money coaching comes in. Just as we care for our patients, it's crucial to care for ourselves, too. A solid financial plan can be a vital part of our self-care routine. By managing our money well, we reduce stress, gain control over our future, and create the space to recharge and enjoy life outside of work. Through money coaching, I help fellow nurses develop budgets that work for their unique needs, empowering them to feel secure and balanced. Because when we take care of ourselves, we’re in a much better position to take care of others. Book a Smart Money Strategy Session: https://lnkd.in/e8qsdXNc
Nursing can be both exhausting and rewarding. Yesterday was a perfect example - I was physically and emotionally drained, but the opportunity to make a real difference in patients' lives made it all worthwhile.

I teach doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals English for Healthcare, with a focus on the OET.
Is Nursing a STEM subject? STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and mathematics. This webinair made a powerful case that it nursing should be considered a STEM and why culturally nursing is waiting full recognition. (It’s also good practice for OET Listening C.) I learned that Florence Nightingale, in her very first book ‘Notes on Nursing, What It Is and What It Is Not’ predicted it would take 150 years for the full scope of nursing to be realised. That was 164 years ago. Now, future nurses study courses entitled ‘Nursing Science’, there are doctoral programmes in the subject, and medical technology is advancing all the time. I think it is amazing that nursing could not be designated as a STEM subject. If you are a nurse, what do you think about the way your expertise is valued in society? And if you think Nursing is STEM, consider signing the petition. #linkedinnurses #oetpreparation #nursingisstem

In our new white paper, our team found that CAH swing-bed programs outperform Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) on quality performance. Our study collected three years of data from our Swing Bed Quality Reporting Program for CAHs. Key results include: - 73.6% of CAH swing bed patients were discharged to their community, significantly exceeding SNFs’ rate of 49.7% - 8% of CAH swing-bed patients experienced unplanned returns to acute care, compared to SNFs' 11.4% - 9.2% of CAH swing-bed patients had returned to acute care within 30 days post-discharge, whereas SNFs' rate stood at 10.5% Read the full white paper here: https://hubs.li/Q02P5FMy0 #StroudwaterAssociates #RuralHealthcare
