Facebook is getting a HUGE makeover... to attract Gen Z 🤩📲 This new update includes… 🗓 A “Local” tab which includes nearby Reels, Marketplace posts, Groups and Events 📸 An “Explore” tab with photos, videos, events, and other types of content personalized to your interests 🎬 A full-screen “Video” tab showing Reels, akin to a TikTok For You Page 💕 A refresh of Facebook Dating with a new element called “Matchmaker” where your friends can swipe through potential matches on your behalf 💬 Topic-based “Messenger Communities,” where you can create group chats based on similar interests 📨 SMS, Email, and Instagram Invites for Events, allowing you to invite your Instagram followers to events on Facebook 🤖 Customizable Group AI to help group members find answers to questions 💸 A previously announced new and expanded monetization program for creators, including the ability to monetize Stories A lot of these new updates have recognizable similarities to TikTok and other trending Gen Z apps, which should come as no surprise, with many social media platforms using their competitors as inspiration.
