I know the internship with the GLBC is a strong amonoly on my professional experience summary. But it’s imperative as a business professional to know how governmental affairs intersect with business within the country as well as outside. During my experience I found Business committees and international affairs is something of a commonality that can definitely have an impact on strategic objectives set forth for any company. International penetration and management across states involves a solid understanding of public policy. It sticks out like a green thumb. But with pruning and consideration I know that it stands out as a strength when partaking in initiatives of acquisitions, partnerships, franchises, licensing, client relationships, and new business ventures. Remember, it's never too late to shape your path! Today's session of the Hilton Top Solicitors Internship Program proved to be an interestingly informative one, courtesy of the host, Deborah Enyone Oni (LLB. BL. LLM. NIM), and the esteemed speaker, Adio A. Samuel Abijo, whose discourse centered on the theme of "Digital Payment Transformation." He began by tracing the evolutionary trajectory of digital payments, spanning from the ancient practice of trade by barter to the utilization of cowries and the advent of paper currency. With the level of technological advancement in the 21st Century, we are met with the seamless execution of digital transactions, facilitated by innovations such as mobile bank transfers, ATMs, and Point of Sale Devices. This is beautiful because this advancement has afforded such ease and simplicity, sparing individuals the inconvenience of enduring lengthy queues at the banks. I got to understand the indispensable role assumed by legal professionals in ensuring compliance and safeguarding the integrity of transactions.
