To commemorate #Juneteenth, we’ve rounded up a list of #grants and foundations working to support Black-led #nonprofits, Black and other historically marginalized communities, and organizations focused on #racialjustice and #equity. 1️⃣ BEAM (Black Emotional and Mental Health Collective): BEAM aims to remove barriers to emotional healthcare for Black individuals through education, training, advocacy, and the arts. It offers grants like the Black Wellness Innovation Fund and the Parent Support Fund, supporting mental health and wellness initiatives nationwide. 2️⃣ Black Feminist Fund Black Feminist Fund: This fund supports Black feminist movements worldwide by providing core, long-term grants and solidarity initiatives. It focuses on groups led by Black women, girls, trans, and intersex people, promoting human rights and collective power. 3️⃣ Emergent Fund: The Emergent Fund provides rapid-response grants for frontline Black, Indigenous, and people of color-led organizations. ArtsHERE Statement of Interest Closes: January 19, 2024!! https://lnkd.in/g_z2mw_8 FUNDED ORGANIZATIONS WILL RECEIVE: Investment: Managed by South Arts, ArtsHERE will award approximately 95 nonprofit organizations with nonmatching grants of $65,000 to $130,000. Grants are for specific projects that will strengthen each organization’s capacity to sustain meaningful community engagement and increase arts participation for underserved groups/communities. Learning: ArtsHERE will offer grantees peer-learning and technical assistance opportunities, designed to share knowledge and build networks. Evaluation: As a pilot program, ArtsHERE will be documented and evaluated by the National Endowment for the Arts to better understand the project activities supported through this program and how grantees approached the work, and to inspire others. The evaluation will result in a summary of lessons learned and may inform the future of ArtsHERE and other similar funding programs and practices.

Happy Juneteenth! Today is a day for remembrance and celebration of how far the equal rights movement has come since 1865. But it’s also a day to recognize all the work there is left to do. Research has found that BIPOC-led organizations receive drastically fewer resources than white-led organizations.
