Helping to ensure everyone has access to good, nourishing food has been a focus of ours for decades. We’re continuing this work with our longtime partner Feeding America as a lead donor to their Food Rescue Fund.    The Fund aims to source more nutritious food, expand food rescue channels, scale technology solutions, alleviate transportation costs, and bolster food banks for peak capacity.    "We're proud to continue our more than 40-year legacy of supporting Feeding America to alleviate hunger and ensure no good food goes to waste," said Mary Jane Melendez, chief sustainability and global impact officer at General Mills. "No one company or organization can tackle this challenge alone. It takes all of us coming together to create lasting change."    To learn more, visit: https://lnkd.in/gpNMSEK5

Feeding America is the nation’s largest food rescue and hunger relief organization with roots stretching back to the 1960s. Today, the organization helps rescue nearly 4 billion pounds of nutritious food annually that would have otherwise gone to waste, but we want to do more. We're calling on everyone to join the Food Rescue Challenge -- an opportunity for individuals, companies (like our partners at General Mills, Starbucks, and Gary and Barbara Rodkin), and communities to come together to make a significant impact on reducing hunger and helping the planet. Together, we can prevent an additional 1 billion pounds of good food from being wasted and in turn, help people facing hunger. By rescuing more good food from going to waste, we not only help millions of people put food on the table, we also reduce the environmental impact generated by harmful greenhouse gases via landfilled food waste. Every donation, share, like and mention helps us to reach this important milestone in the movement to end hunger... will you join us? #FoodRescue 🍊 Learn more here ➡ bit.ly/3VX5Sxp
