We're back from our summer break with big news! In a case that could set a precedent for the rights of transgender athletes to compete, the Minnesota Supreme Court announced it will hear Cooper v. USA Powerlifting. We have been fighting for JayCee Cooper since she first took on the organization after it denied her the right to compete, and now she's headed to the highest court in Minnesota. We're so proud to represent her.

Today, I filed suit to protect women's privacy, safety, and opportunity from the Biden Administration's attempt to transform Title IX into a prohibition on safe, private spaces for girls in schools and a framework that makes female athletes compete with transgender athletes for spots on teams and awards in competition. We will fight this attempt to hollow out Title IX's 50-year promise of equal opportunity to America's women.

Transgender Educator & Speaker for Hire!🏳️⚧️ - [email protected] | Using Empathy and Storytelling to Create a More Inclusive World
19th News is doing a weekly series on the larger implications of the anti-trans war on ALL Americans. If you keep asking, why should I care about trans rights? This series should shed some light on that. "To understand how the anti-trans agenda could reshape all of our lives, our reporters have set out to examine how anti-trans laws are impacting the lives of Americans, whether or not they are trans. The goal is to connect the dots that will show how these laws, intended to target a small minority, are rewriting the future for all of us, and for generations to come. This is the Toll of America’s Anti-Trans War."

#AffirmativeAction - Origins And American #CivilLiberties - Affirmative action refers to positive steps taken to enhance the representation of women and minorities in areas of employment, education, and business from which they have been historically excluded. When those steps involve preferential selection—selection on the basis of race, gender, or ethnicity. The history of the growth of equality for African Americans in America has been one of great accomplishments followed by many small gains and many set backs as well. The outlawing of slavery did not instantly make all blacks equal with whites in America. It took many subsequent legal actions as well as hundreds of social efforts, big and small, to slowly make the progress we have seen today. But even in this day and age, in a new century, there is an ongoing battle against racism. It seems we need leadership to guide society to true equality as much now as ever in our history. #FrizeMedia https://buff.ly/3n1gdH5 #civilrights #americanhistory #politicsandlaw @Charlesfrize @FrizeFriedo #DigitalMarketingServices #Onlineadvertising #DigitalMarketing #businesstips @DynamicFrize #digitalmarketingstrategies #equality

Educating and Helping People to Better Understand Biases, Their Impact, and How to Try and Keep Them in Check
THIS IS THE PROBLEM WITH SO MANY REPUBLICANS, "CONSERVATIVES," AND LIBERTARIANS. "SUPPORTING LGBT PEOPLE OR GROUPS OF ETHNIC MINORITIES" IS BASED UPON THE REALITY THAT THOSE ARE MEMBERS OF HISTORICALLY MARGINALIZED GROUPS. WHAT THAT MEANS IS THAT THERE HAS BEEN A LONGSTANDING SYSTEMIC / INSTITUTIONALIZED BIAS AGAINST SUCH PEOPLE AND GROUPS AND IN FAVOR OF THOSE WHO ARE CISGENDER STRAIGHT WHITE CHRISTIANS OF ABLE BODY AND MIND, ESPECIALLY IF THEY ARE MALE. "SUPPORTING LGBT PEOPLE OR GROUPS OF ETHNIC MINORITIES" UNDER SUCH CIRCUMSTANCES IS NECESSARY BECAUSE NEUTRALITY MAINTAINS THE STATUS QUO. TO SAY THAT SUPPORTING EFFORTS TO CHANGE SUCH A STATUS QUO MAKES ONE A "LEFT-WING EXTREMIST" IS SO INCREDIBLY OFFENSIVE AND BIGOTED. BY SUPPORTING SUCH PEOPLE AND GROUPS, THEY ARE "IN FAVOR OF HELPING PEOPLE ACROSS ALL COMMUNITIES." IT'S NOT EITHER/OR; RATHER, IT'S BOTH/AND. THIS IS THE SAME THING AS RESPONDING TO BLACK LIVES MATTER WITH BLUE LIVES MATTER OR ALL LIVES MATTER. THE BLACK LIVES MATTER MOVEMENT NEVER SAID THAT ANYONE ELSE'S LIVES DON'T MATTER - OR THAT THEY DON'T MATTER EQUALLY WELL. IN FACT, THE BLACK LIVES MATTER MOVEMENT IS THAT BLACK LIVES SHOULD MATTER THE SAME AS ALL OTHER PEOPLE'S LIVES. I'M LONG OVER THIS CRAP! "'They say that they’re in favour of helping people across all communities. They are in favour of supporting LGBT people or groups of ethnic minorities,' Truss added." https://lnkd.in/gAjXwsSa

Today, we celebrate International Non-Binary People’s Day! Non-binary, often called “enby,” is an inclusive, valid, and beautifully unique identity. As we celebrate, it's essential to recognize the struggles and discrimination non-binary individuals face. In a society that often only acknowledges two genders, non-binary people may feel erased and invalidated, leading to isolation, anxiety, and depression. To combat this, we should educate ourselves on non-binary identities and strive for a more inclusive society. This includes using gender-neutral language, respecting stated pronouns, and advocating for equal rights for all genders. Did you know? Katje van Loon started International Non-Binary People’s Day in 2012, choosing a date midway between International Women’s Day (March 8) and International Men’s Day (November 19). In 2016, Elisa Rae Shupe became the first person in the US to have a non-binary gender legally recognized on official documents. Learn more: https://hubs.li/Q02G5n870
