Sharing this update with our community from our partners at Family Tree Clinic about our fellow partner, Rainbow Health. We, too, are deeply saddened to learn of this loss of a critical resource — our hearts go out to the staff and clients of Rainbow Health. Rainbow Health Legal Services Coordinator Ash Tifa was featured on a recent episode of The Gender Justice Brief podcast about the right to gender-affirming care in Minnesota, and discussed the free monthly Name Change Clinic she co-facilitates with Family Tree Clinic. Despite the uncertainties surrounding Rainbow Health, that workshop will go on this evening as planned — many thanks to both Ash and to Phil Duran, Rainbow Health's Director of Advocacy and Community Engagement, for their commitment and dedication to the community's needs. (More information about the Name Change and Gender Marker Clinic at 4:30 pm today at Family Tree Clinic, 1919 Nicollet Ave, Minneapolis: https://lnkd.in/gUb2-NtM)

We are deeply saddened to hear of Rainbow Health's sudden dissolution yesterday. Rainbow Health provided such important services for our communities, and we extend our deepest gratitude to their dedicated staff during this difficult time. Family Tree Clinic is committed to working in collaboration with our partners to ensure continuity of care for our LGBTQ communities. Please know the Name Change and Gender Marker Clinic organized by Rainbow Health will still be happening at Family Tree Clinic today as originally planned, thanks to the incredible dedication of Ash Tifa and Phil Duran. In keeping with our values of collaboration, transparency, and being responsive to our communities, we will share any updates and resources as they become available. For now, we are asking for your continued and deepened support of our local LGBTQ organizations, the incredible staff and clients of Rainbow Health, and of each other. The strongest safety nets are woven out of community ties.
