They pioneered weekly drops for jewelry. They flipped the sales narrative of jewelry from being a gift to something you can - and should - buy for yourself. 75% of their customers buy for themselves. People want to be part of the Mejuri community, and they want to stay part of the community. An incredible 40% of Mejuri’s customers are repeat buyers, responsible for 50% of the company’s revenue. Plus 25% of customers buy multiple products in a single year. Customers even stayed loyal to Mejuri during the pandemic. In 2020, revenue increased by 63%. Co-founder & CEO Noura Sakkijha first had the business idea in 2013. She raised $1 million in 2015. In 2018 she raised a $5 million Series A, then the following year a $23 million Series B. In total she’s raised over $100 million. What started as a small online company based in Toronto has grown into a global brand with 500 employees - and a large offline presence. 2022 alone brought the addition of 11 new Mejuri storefronts. Mejuri now has 28 brick-and-mortar retail locations across Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom, accounting for 30% of the company’s revenue. In 2023, Mejuri expanded its digital property, launching the Mejuri app. This omnipresence strategy is working. Mejuri’s annual revenue is over $162.2 million.
