Title: "L’evoluzione della pianificazione nella #SupplyChain: dove siamo oggi e quali sono gli scenari futuri" / The evolution of planning in the #SupplyChain: where we are today and what the future holds.
On 26 September, I had the pleasure of attending, along with many friends, the 1st conference of the Supply Chain Planning Observatory.
The event presented the results of research on the current state of supply chain planning tools and technologies, including demand forecasting, inventory management, transportation planning, and physical flow tracking.
Two esteemed friends/Professors, Roberto D. Cigolini and Giovanni Miragliotta, led the event, supported by other distinguished contributors such as Luca Saporetti, Cristina Baccichetto, Francesco Adamo, and many others, who shared their valuable insights.
The conference addressed key questions, such as the evolution of business processes in supply chain planning, the transformative role of digital technologies, and the areas where the most innovative projects are taking shape.
Discussions also focused on the benefits in terms of efficiency, sustainability, and competitiveness, as well as the technologies driving these advancements and the critical role of partner ecosystems.
Additionally, the maturity of Italian companies in this field and the necessary skills to successfully implement and manage these transformations were thoroughly explored.
In a world that is in urgent need of genuine leadership, it’s crucial to surround ourselves with role models and like-minded individuals who motivate and guide us along our journey.
