GE Aerospace achieves a major breakthrough with the successful test of a Hypersonic Dual-Mode Ramjet (DMRJ) using rotating detonation combustion (RDC) technology. 🚀🔥 The test, considered a world-first, took place at GE Aerospace's Research Center in Niskayuna, New York, and leveraged rotating detonation combustion to enhance high-speed, long-range flight efficiency. ✈️🌐 Unlike traditional turbojet and turbofan engines, ramjet engines lack rotating parts and depend on specially designed air inlets for compression.
