Ryan Jackson wasn’t planning to go into #manufacturing, but during a tour of the West Georgia Technical College campus, he learned about the Precision Manufacturing program and he, “liked what he saw.” He joined the program as a dual-enrollment student and started a part-time position as an electro-maintenance assistant at Kimberly-Clark in LaGrange, just a few months later. When asked what he would tell others about his experience in manufacturing so far, he said, “If you are working and not having fun, you’re in the wrong job.” Jackson enjoys working with his hands and feeling a sense of accomplishment. He also enjoys the camaraderie with his team and the supportive work environment at the plant.
