The United States and Canada touted the highest regional percentage of engaged employees in 2023, at 33%. However, the employee experience is still lacking in other areas — the U.S. and Canada region also has the second-highest percentage of employees experiencing stress a lot of the previous day. I've been a student of your State of the Workplace for years! I've always wondered the cultural factors that inform the "enthusiasm" metric of highly engaged -- it the US/ North America in general I do find people identify deeply with their work. It is a point of pride to tell someone what you do/your professional success, in a way that I have never found even of wildly successful business owners in Europe.

"Empowering Tomorrow's Leaders: Transforming Leadership Development with a New Paradigm"

“In practical terms, let’s consider a corporation with an annual revenue of $5 million. Based on the industry average, their investment in leadership development could range from $50,000 to $250,000 per year.”https://knowyourtalents.com/how-much-do-corporations-spend-on-leadership-development/ Now multiply that by the number of corporations in the United States, and you get billions yearly. Yet, the engagement figures above have been the same for multiple decades. What can be drawn from comparing the cost of leadership development to the impact leadership development has had on employee engagement over decades? That has led me to recommend a leadership paradigm shift, the Renaissance Leadership Odyssey. If you would like to know more, please message me directly for a discussion. Vic

That's promising! High engagement levels in the US and Canada show commitment, despite challenges like stress. Let's continue to prioritize well-being alongside engagement for a balanced workplace culture.

Businesses have a prerogative to prioritize engagement. They need to focus on ensuring fair compensation & expectations, identifying growth opportunities for employees, & demanding managers not only manage but lead. These numbers are always so insightful!

That looks to be terrible. Just because it’s above global engagement doesn’t make it good. So that means 2/3 are limping along while the rest carry them along?
