About a year ago, we started hiring creators as contractors (PT & FT), and then as FT employees. Consumers clearly prefer creator storytelling in 2024, not to be confused with "user-generated content". People may thumbstop on a video because it's UGC, but as soon as they realize they're blatantly watching an ad, they'll bounce. Creators that can tell REAL stories are fantastic at weaving a narrative around how a product has solved their own problems. And it feels authentic, because, well, it is. That's hard to replicate at scale, but my gosh does it stand out in a sea of 💩 ads...
