If you're like us, you might find your clinic booming in the evenings but kind of slow in the early mornings and afternoons. This mismatch could be exactly why you're not as booked as you'd like. Here's what you can do: audit your schedule. Dive into your EMR and track which times are consistently packed and which ones aren't catching anyone's interest. We realized we were onto something when we saw our evenings were always full but mornings? Not so much. With that insight, we flipped our schedule around, opening more in the evenings and less in the mornings. And guess what? It worked. Our practice filled up just like that. Clinic day is too stressful! The patient schedule is full, double-booked and there is no time to rest. There are too many things going on during the day and I can only do many of my charts after hours. Catching up on charting in the weekends too. And I’m still behind.
